depicting an African landscape at sunset complete with giraffes
and elephants, as the perfect accent for the client's
bright and cheerful nursery. |
First Baptist Church in Austin Texas commissioned this mural, depicting
the shepard's celebration on
finding the lost sheep, in memory
of a much-loved longtime children's Sunday school teacher.
"In answer to the question: 'How big WOULD our earth be if the sun were only 40 ft. in diameter?' Carol Hawkins
Studio designed this 68 ft. wide mural for Rodriguez Elementary School in Austin, Texas. As a fun way of
community building a group of volunteers helped Hawkins to lay out her design and do the initial painting.
Everybody had fun. Hawkins finished the project.
Oh! and the answer to your Cosmic question? Earth is 4 1/2 inches tall on this mural.

St. David's Hospital,
in Austin Texas, commissioned this charming yellow submarine
under sea mural to entertain children waiting in the emergency
room. Four aquariums house real fish. Fanciful sea
creatures including jellyfish, a sea horse, octopus, sea
turtle, starfish, crab and brightly colored fish swim amid
huge bubbles that were painted to coordinate with waiting
room chairs.
